Job Purpose

The Sales Operations Analyst will provide analytical, operational, and administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Director and the broader LB Bentley sales organisation.

This is an entry‑level position designed to strengthen Sales Operations through accurate reporting, CRM administration, commercial data analysis, and structured coordination across internal teams. The role will contribute to improving sales visibility, forecast accuracy, and commercial governance across LB Bentley’s product portfolio, including Valves and Filters & Dryers.

The position offers strong exposure to LB Bentley’s technical, commercial, and governance processes and is intended as a development role for individuals seeking a future career in sales operations, commercial management, or business development.

The role is internally focused and does not carry direct customer ownership or individual sales targets.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the Sales & Marketing Director with sales performance reporting, dashboards, and management information.

• Maintain and administer LB Bentley’s CRM system, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely updates across opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts.

• Assist with the sales forecasting process by consolidating, validating, and analysing inputs from the sales organisation.

• Support commercial governance processes, including opportunity reviews, pricing approvals, and internal sales reviews.

• Track progress of key sales opportunities and awarded projects, highlighting risks or deviations to stakeholders.

• Support the sales organisation in the preparation of commercial proposals by maintaining and operating pricing systems and tools, including the Filters & Dryers pricing portal, ensuring data accuracy, structure, and traceability.

• Support tender costing activities by legging‑out requests, consolidating vendor responses, and maintaining cost input summaries within Tender and Sales systems, under the direction of the Tender Manager, without ownership of pricing decisions.

• Ensure structured storage and traceability of commercial documentation and sales data.

• Support continuous improvement of sales processes, reporting tools, and CRM discipline.

• Comply with all LB Bentley policies, governance requirements, and commercial procedures.

Expertise

• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent / near completion) in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Well‑organised, methodical, and capable of managing multiple parallel tasks.

• Strong interest in developing a career within a technical B2B sales environment.

Why join us?

  • Collaborative and inclusive environment where every contribution is valved.
  • Continuous learning and professional development to help you thrive.
  • A culture that empowers initiative, creativity, and meaningful change.
